Haiku about Autumn (5)

Recently I found 'obana (尾花)', or Japanese pampas grass flowers called 'susuki (薄)', at the foot of Mt. Chokai (鳥海山), in Kisakata (象潟), Akita.

  1. Dear Hiruta san:

I just found your poetry blog via the Akita International Haiku Network.

    Moments keenly perceived and recorded.

I enjoyed the read and particularly liked the first ku.

  2. thanks for this piece. There is a name of a flower I have been looking for. Can't recollect. It is a tree that bears the flower and the flower is not that delicate like bougainvillea or rose. It's more like lily... It is very common in Haiku... don't worry. I am just stuck. I enjoyed your pieces

  3. Two lovely haiku, Hiruta-san. I'm sorry to have missed so many posts. I will try to work my way backward to read them. My children are in school now, and I hope to visit and to write much more often. Thank you for these haiku.
