My haiku appeared on the Asahi Haikuist Network by David McMurray on January 1 and 15.
One of them is this: http://www.asahi.com/english/haiku/.
From Heaven's hand
do snowflakes spill
falling stars
神の手のこぼす雪片星降りぬ
kami no te no kobosu seppen hoshi furinu
A cup of tea
keeps us cozy ―
snowy garden
雪の庭一杯のお茶に温もれり
yuki no niwa ippai no ocha ni nukumore ri
a delightful pair Hiruta San
返信削除Good pair... I like the relationship between the stars and snowflakes. _m
返信削除I like best that your haiku make the reader feel present in your haiku moment. Thank you for sharing these. They are lovely.

The words capture important memories, to be saved and savored. Is that why we write?
返信削除Have a beautiful weekend, Hiruta san.
Sincerely,
Dianne
Yes, the words are supreme to capture, save and savor important memories.
返信削除In addition, my poetry comes from love and thanks.
Haiku is the best form for me to express love and thanks.
I took up the same question on the updated webpage 'Haiku about New Year (2010)(Part 3)' of the Akita International Haiku Network on January 23 at http://akitahaiku.wordpress.com/.
Would you please check it out?
Have a nice weekend, Dianne san.
Sincerely yours,
Hidenori
