The other day I visited the foot of Mt. Taihei （太平山） in Akita （秋田）, where I remembered climbing there and wrote haiku.

overcome blizzard ―
for heaven
岳人やブリザード超え天上へ
Gakujin ya burizaado koe tenjou e
Paddy fields
in repose ―
snow blanket
水田や雪の毛布に安らげり
Suiden ya yuki no moufu ni yasurageri
