Haiku about Spring (1)

I post haiku about the tug-of-war between spring and winter.

Spring is gradually showing its power and energy over winter about this time of the year.

Tug - of - war

the frozen ropes thawing

spring boat

止め綱の氷解けたる岸の舟

tomezuna no koori toke taru kishi no fune

Tug - of - war

the bald branches budding

spring willow

引く力張られて芽吹く柳かな

  3. Kurisu san,
thank you very much for your comment.

In the first Japanese haiku, the season word (the kigo) is ‘氷解けたる’, which is expressed in the second line of the English haiku, ‘the frozen ropes thawing’.

In the second Japanese haiku, the season word
is ‘芽吹く’, which is expressed in the second line of the English haiku, ‘budding’.

    Would you please enjoy haiku?

    Best wishes,

Kuris san, thank you very much for a comment again.

I'm looking forward to your World Kigo Database in French.

I'd like to help you if necessary.
