Haiku about Spring (15)

Here in Akita, there was a local fest event called 'Big Tug of War in Kariwano (刈和野大綱引き)'

held recently. It seems that the tug of war is played between winter and spring.

But it is really enjoyed between good harvest and health.

  1. Thank you for the invitation to view your post. Good harvest, good health and good haiku--one couldn't ask for more.

  2. The winter battles mightily here, Hidenori. 15 inches of snow this week past, and maybe 20 below celsius some nights. Then, February's bright sun offers a glimpse of the spring to come.
One of the local family of crows was on his usual roost this morning, calling to his kin. I asked him what he saw from his vantage in the tree, but he only cocked his head to look at me as though I were some dolt who couldn't comprehend the seasonal signs.
Certainly, he must be much wiser than I in this knowledge.

  3. __Good picture of the seasons' pull, this taughtness of time and the Earth's cant; time, and the tilt of the Earth overcome.
